100 Prophecies, the book

This chapter is from a copyright book, 100 Prophecies, by Ray Konig. It is reprinted here with permission from the author. The new and expanded version of this book, now called 100 Fulfilled Bible Prophecies, is available at Amazon.com.

Introduction

The Bible is unique in many ways. It contains hundreds of prophecies that were recorded during ancient times, by a long list of prophets, involving a variety of subjects.

Some scholars have proposed that there are about 2,000 prophecies in the Bible.

Many of the Bible's prophecies foretold details involving the birth, life, mission, death and resurrection of a Messiah (Jesus Christ). Other Bible prophecies foretold events involving the land and people of Israel, the surrounding nations, and the future of the world.

The Bible's prophets were people who were chosen by God to speak his words. We are told this at different times throughout the Bible, including in this verse:

1 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. (Hebrews 1:1-2, WEB)

This book, 100 Prophecies, offers our research and commentary on a selection of 100 Bible prophecies.

The first version of this book appeared as an online book during the 1990s. Our material has undergone many changes since then, culminating with this, the third revised edition of 100 Prophecies.

This is a new, expanded version of this book, called 100 Fulfilled Bible Prophecies, which is available at Amazon.com.
